Brown Glock 19x - I had a gen4 19 which I sold and upgraded to 19k It was released a week or two ago and I can't find it anywhere locally I drove 45 minutes to get hold of one of these However it feels a little heavy but more comfortable when you aim low It also feels more balanced I noticed a nice upgrade over my old 19 in terms of grouping, when I didn't have a side test, you could probably put it down to the excitement of a new toy, but it really is. One thing I would have liked were serrations on both ends of the gun, but it's not really necessary or a deal breaker. The trigger is also nice and smooth, as expected from a Glock I give it 5 stars as a combat vet You are screwed in the business I'm rooting for you to fix it Especially with the issues they are currently having with the new signings

If you like the 17 and 19 the 19k is a perfect combination of the two I love how it fits in my hand No finger holes which is very comfortable for small hands like mine I was scared of the new sights but so far I'm pretty good with them So much fun to shoot! My husband also found it relaxing #GlockGirlForever

Everything you want in a duty pistol is like an EDC It rides so well in the 12 hour ED carry EDC and allows for a quick draw from the duty kidek with a long grip and extended mag. Ok so I saw one and decided to grab it before it was gone This is the best out of the box Glock I have ever bought or fired I own several which include a G17 and a G19 and I carry a G19 everyday for work as my secondary weapon. One thing I noticed right away is the difference in the trigger on this Glock It's not typical of a Glock box trigger, it's smoother, the takedown feels different and the break is clearer. The night sights are also nice, and I like the two-tone color, a little different than the frame on the slide shade. The extra mag capacity is also nice Again, I know a lot of people complain that it's not what "Glock fans" are looking for, but it's a winner for me. So far I've been on offer with it once and without fail I've eaten everything I've put in it, no problem.

I went to a bass pro shop yesterday and went to the gun section and saw some berettines bc Bruce Willis/Mel Gibson/JCVD inspired me as a kid lol (I'm a Glock man). I have a G26 gen4 / G19 gen3 / G17 gen4 and it feels like a G17... but PERFECT in your hand! The slide G19 Compact is not a problem either! I couldn't put this gun down! Brownells Glock 17 Slide - Slide mounted optics are becoming more and more common, as well as solutions. I don't want to commit to gun collisions while jumping in the sight game. MOS grids are not inviting for my Glock, with many stories of optics flying off slides under recoil. Then I watched Patrick's video of the Brownells' Glock slide and immediately placed an order.

Now, Brownells makes aftermarket Glock slides straight. Shooters can choose between ready optics, and metal sights only versions with and without lightning cut. Optic cuts are limited to the RMR footprint on double-stack slides and the RMSc footprint on single slides. Aimpoint ACRO has milled Gen3 only slide. From here, there are many configurations, including the Glock 43, 48, 26, 19, 17, 34, and many combinations. If you haven't noticed, this is all for 9x19, no other calibers. Gen5 owners are also out of luck, as Brownells only supports the third and fourth guns with this slide.

The options are limited, and most Glock owners have to pay. Hopefully Brownells will release models compatible with Leupold DPP, Trijicon RMRcc, and other calibers in the future.

Building A G19 Pattern Pistol With Aim Surplus

The size and square shape of the slide are immediately visible. These changes can have both positive and negative effects on holster compliance. When using the friction grip, the shooter will have more protection when drawing and holstering due to the smaller size than the OEM slide. I have taken my bags from Tenicor, Dark Star Gear, Bawidamann, Safariland, Raven Secret, PHLster, and Blackhawk. The biggest problem across the board is shaving the material in the holster on the draw. Other than that, everything fits very well. It is interesting to note that the OEM rifle is kept in the Tenicor Sagax Lux by a friction slide that does not use a G17 frame.

Glock OEM parts and accessories will fit your Brownells slide without issue. I used the OEM inner and barrel along with the Tau Development Group Strike Control Device to complete my slide. For metal I used Trijicon Bright & Tough, Dawson Precision MOS, and Ameriglo all black XL sights. Patrick encountered problems with the eyepiece length in his review, but I did not experience this problem.

Unlike Glock's MOS system, the Brownells slide uses two positions to secure the sight. These provide more threads for screwing in more than the normal plate process, with an additional leader to secure the optics. I racked the slide using my body saw several times during the course. Also, after a few battery changes my zero is almost perfect, just clicking once or twice in one direction.

Later style link machines have been known to come out slides in high rounds. I have not seen this, but it is something to be aware of. If this happens, shooters often have to loosen their screws to retrieve the optic. When changing batteries, be sure to check that your paper is worn to avoid this problem.

Mounting A Trijicon Rmr On A Glock 19 Slide From Brownells

The current configuration has over 5,000 rounds of 9x19mm through it. About 90% of all matches are high standards with nothing more than +P. Although this list is not exhaustive, most of the matches are extracted from the guns are:

This Brownells slide was carried as part of my EDC for seven months, spring through fall. He came with me to shooting seminar, rangemaster instructor course, as well as USPSA and many times. Brownell Glock Slide - USA –-()- I brought the idea of ​​creating the G19 to my editors from the departments and they dug it. I never expected a second article to come out of the first one I wrote. But as it turned out, I needed help with the transition. There are common problems that RMR can help you overcome. For those with below-average or aging vision, ultimately focusing on your front sight on the target while maintaining your front sight between the rear sight points becomes increasingly difficult with time and age. Being able to focus on your target and set the red dot on the point makes this hit very simple and short. This method overcomes many obstacles in life that could not be avoided otherwise. After doing extensive work on my friend Capt. Dave Funk's G20, he came back from several escapes and hunts and said, “It turned a sighting contest back into a shooting contest. Love." I thought about that sentiment for a long time. I think he was more right than he knew. This was when no one cut red dots into slides. I want to spread this service and idea even more. Brownell Glock Slide

The Brownells slide I chose for my earlier article came with an RMR kit. RMR is very low with this particular slide. I like it. Early versions of this work in the industry are often seen as RMRs or screws on the top of the slide - no joke, the guy drilled and screwed two holes to mount the RMR on top of his flat top Glock. Slide and go...  I remember telling a gentleman who carried the same pistol and looked a lot like Rico Suave about "a flat screen TV mounted on your slide" because two small screws broke and his RMR flew off. range. We have come a long way since then. There are stands for releasing the slider and for additional thread, as well as back rests that can be used on some models. The deeper you can get the optic into the slide, of course, the better. My point is simple - you've spent years working on your slide review, so don't push it higher than necessary. This means that no one has gone too far by setting the device too low. Sometimes the mounting screws can interfere with the normal operation of the slider components, so avoid this.

Warning there are sights here. Some remove them. As a backup in case the red dot somehow stops, I chose high "click" sights. Here is the ruble. The lower you move the optic, the higher the field of view of your optic. My hope was that there was barely enough purchase at the bottom of the field of view to use them in an emergency, plus plenty of unobstructed view through the RMR window. My particular choice of sights are a little sticky, so I might put them in a mill later and scrape them up a bit. So far they are working well, but time will tell if I leave them as they are.

I have to be honest. I expected to have a bit of a problem transitioning from iron sights to RMR. I've always been a "forward vision" guy. I work and test dozens of pistols a week in my shop, so it immediately became a universal commandment for me to "hit the front target". This led me to opt for matte black iron sights. I didn't want any glare, tritium, or any other distracting sights to distract from the red dot. I'm happy too. As it turned out, I needed all the help I could get. I just wasn't good at getting the red dot.

I'm having a hard time getting the point, period. I spoke to Rick Largess from SSV Concepts and he told me to stop overthinking it. “Just hit the front target and that dot will be there. Don't think about meaning and don't look for it. Focus on your natural goal of connecting to the previous site you've always used, and that point will be there. I promise." It helped me a lot. I did what I always do - I went out and went to find my previous site and there it was.

No doubt you have one of those friends where part of your relationship is based on stress, banter, pranks and things that make each other laugh. I have this friend, his name is Ricky. So it pained me a bit to admit it, but he was absolutely right and I was grateful for the advice on getting the RMR score. When I did something as simple as looking for that little red dot, it would show up. Then I can shift to focusing almost exclusively on the goal. Gradually I became faster and more confident. I can see why people dig it. Why do you think I resisted this for so long?

Here's how I'll sum up my advice...  Think unusual attractions to choose from. You buy a red dot to use 99% of the time. So set it up like this. Once the red dot is removed, failed, or disabled, you should have no problem getting the small views at the bottom of the viewport. When I disabled RMR to simulate the same scenario, it was old hat. I can see how some people prefer tritium sights, but for me, I've enjoyed using dark sights and still feel that way. Your mileage may vary, but be honest with yourself. You're moving on to something you've never done before, so take it easy. Once the learning curve is behind you, put a set of tritium sights on your slide and see if they are a net benefit to your rig or if you can get by without them. Hit it as usual and that point will be there. Don't buy a piece of junk. If your red dot is cheaper than a heavy night drink at the Ditch Goat Cantina, you're going to be a cheap ass and you're going to regret it. As always, don't be afraid to seek guidance from qualified instructors. A little money spent on a good lesson will take you further than you think.

Good luck with your new red dot. At first I made some unrealistic assumptions. However, I am satisfied with the result. I chose quality goods and I knew myself and relied on my support. Repeat this to yourself and you will succeed. Now I love shooting this rig and I'm still getting better. My performance is better with accuracy and touch with better speed. I believe I can easily improve both. I'm not sure I could have achieved the same results without using this technology. I like it. I hope you do too.
